H.P. Lovecraft
August 20, 1890 – March 15, 1937
Swan Point Cemetery - Providence, RI

Howard Phillips Lovecraft was an American author of Horror/Science Fiction during the early 20th Century.  His most famous works include The Call of Cthulhu, At the Mountains of Madness and The Crawling Chaos.

Despite his American heritage, he was of the belief that English culture was far superior and was an obvious Anglophile.  His many works of "weird fiction" gave him a large following that surfaced mostly after his death.
