- we hunt the dead

Katharine Hepburn
May 12, 1907 – June 29, 2003
Cedar Hill Cemetery - Hartford, CT

Katharine Hepburn was quite possibly the most well-known actress of the 20th Century, actually being ranked as THE greatest actress of all time in 1999 by The American Film Institute.  Her career spanned more than 70 years, with the bulk of it falling into the 30s - 60s.

Katharine's grave is nestled amongst trees and bushes in a family plot in Section 10 of Cedar Hill Cemetery.  She is surrounded by other relatives, and a large "Hepburn" stone identifies the area.

Don't miss Samuel Colt, also buried in this cemetery.

Factoid:  Katharine idolized her brother Tom, who died when she was young.  For many years thereafter, she used his birthday as her own.  It was not until her autobiography was written (published in 1991) that her true birthdate was commonly known.
