Thomas Bulfinch
July 15, 1796 - May 27, 1867
Mount Auburn - Cambridge, MA

Thomas Bulfinch is the author of The Age of Fable, or as it came to be known in the 1880s - Bulfinch's Mythology.  His father, Charles Bulfinch, is considered by some to be the first American architect.

This stone is easy to find if you use Mount Auburn's map.

You can't possibly miss Charles Bulfinch, because this is also his plot, but don't forget Mary Baker Eddy, Buckminster Fuller, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Winslow Homer, Bernard Malamud and Oliver Wendell Holmes also buried in this cemetery, in addition to some other historical figures you might find interesting (but that we didn't!).

Factoid: Thomas Bulfinch graduated from Harvard in 1814.
