Charles Bulfinch
August 8, 1763 - April 4, 1844
Mount Auburn - Cambridge, MA

Charles Bulfinch is considered America's first architect.  His son, Thomas Bulfinch, is the author of Bulfinch's Mythology.

This stone is easy to find if you use Mount Auburn's map.

You can't possibly miss Thomas Bulfinch, because this is also his plot, but don't forget Mary Baker Eddy, Buckminster Fuller, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Winslow Homer, Bernard Malamud and Oliver Wendell Holmes also buried in this cemetery, in addition to some other historical figures you might find interesting (but that we didn't!).

Factoid:  Charles Bulfinch was originally interred at King's Chapel Burial Ground in Boston.
