Do not miss La Pietà, the world-renowned work by Michaelangelo, just to the right of the main entrance, or his lovely Sistine Chapel ceiling deep within the Apostolic Palace.



Keep in mind that this basilica is still a working place of worship.  Be respectful and follow the dress-code or you will NOT be allowed inside.  No shorts or sleeveless shirts, no short skirts, no bare shoulders.  The Swiss Guards will turn you away!
